Hey friend,
People buy from people they recognize. That's the whole idea behind personal branding, and it's the thread we're pulling for the rest of this year.
Not people they've heard of once. Not people with the prettiest feed. People they recognize: the face, the voice, the way you explain things, the thing you always say. Recognition is what turns a scroll into a follow, a follow into a DM, and a DM into a client.
So for the next three months, this newsletter is going to help you build exactly that. Slowly, on purpose, and in a way that actually sounds like you.
Why "findable" matters more than ever
The way people discover you has changed. They search. They ask AI tools who to hire. They scroll Instagram and TikTok looking for someone who gets it. And every one of those places is looking for the same thing: a clear, consistent signal about who you are and who you help.
If you're not showing up clearly, you're not invisible because you're bad at what you do. You're invisible because nobody can tell what to find you for.
The good news? That's fixable. And it doesn't take posting three times a day or becoming someone you're not.
The 3-2-1 of this series
Here's how we're going to build it together through December.
3 months, 3 focuses
October: Who and Why. Who you are, who you're for, and why your story matters. This is the "sharing you" month. We'll figure out which parts of you are worth putting into your marketing, and which parts are yours to keep.
November: What and Where. What you stand for, the one message you want to be known for, and where people are actually finding you now. This is your personal branding and discoverability month, including how to show up in search and AI answers.
December: When. Your pace. When you post, when you rest, and how to plan 2027 without burning out. This is the "slowing down on purpose" month, and honestly it might be my favorite.

2 goals
Clarity. By the end of the year, you can explain who you are and who you help in one sentence, and it feels true.
Calm consistency. You have a way of showing up that fits your actual life. Not a hustle plan. A rhythm.

1 question
Every issue is secretly answering one question: What would it look like if people recognized you for the right thing?
Keep that question in your back pocket. We'll come back to it.

What this means for you
If you've ever felt like you're doing all the "right" marketing things and still not getting known, this series is for you. You don't need more tactics. You need a clearer signal, and you need a pace you can keep.
That's what compounding growth looks like. Small, clear, consistent moves that stack on each other month after month. It's not flashy. It works.
I'll be honest about the part nobody likes to talk about: most people don't struggle with personal branding because they lack ideas. They struggle because being seen feels vulnerable. So we're going to go gently. One W at a time.
Your one next step
Hit reply and send me one word that describes you.
Not your job title. Not your niche. A word someone who knows you well would use. Funny. Steady. Curious. Fierce. Nerdy. Warm.
I read every reply, and I'll share a few (anonymously) in a future issue. That one word is the seed of your personal brand, and we're going to grow it from here.
Talk soon,
Alyssa
